Job summary

sggovterp is seeking an Assistant Engineer for Rolling Stock projects to manage large-scale MRT initiatives, covering design review, manufacturing, testing and commissioning. You will lead fault investigations and participate in initiatives to enhance reliability, operation and maintenance of trains.

The role requires knowledge in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical engineering, strong communication, and the ability to work hands-on at sites, including shift work and potential overseas travel.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical Engineering.
• Good communication, presentation and inter-personal skills.
• Self-driven with strong initiative to learn and willingness to get hands‑on experience for site works.
• Team player with analytical, resourceful and result‑oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Manage large-scale Rolling Stock projects for MRT lines, including design review, manufacturing, testing and commissioning.
• Lead/support investigation of train faults and failures.
• Drive engineering initiatives to improve train reliability, operation and maintenance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams within LTA, appointed Railway Operator and stakeholders to ensure alignment and progress.
