Job summary

SBS Transit Limited in Singapore is seeking an Engineering Technician to execute rail maintenance and engineering works for permanent way and civil structures on NEL & SPLRT, ensuring safety, reliability and availability.

You will perform team maintenance, coordinate inhouse and outsourced work, ensure equipment and measuring tools are calibrated, and manage spares, train ride monitoring, and emergency response according to LTA standards.

Qualifications

• Recognised Nitec certificate in Engineering.
• Preferably 3 years of experience in a relevant engineering field.

Responsibilities

• Execute team maintenance work according to plans, procedures and work instructions to meet targets.
• Coordinate inhouse and outsourced maintenance to be safe, cost-effective and compliant with specifications.
• Ensure equipment, measuring tools and asset spares are available and calibrated.
• Perform train ride monitoring inspections and report abnormalities to management.
• Attend training and refreshers to maintain competency and safety.
• Respond to emergencies per standards and coordinate track access for safe works.
• Participate in ad-hoc projects to improve maintenance processes and reliability.
