Job summary

Hitachi Rail Singapore Pte. Ltd. is looking for a motivated student or early-career engineer to join our hardware design team in Singapore.

The role is full-time with a hybrid work arrangement. You will assist in producing wiring diagrams, scheme plans, I/O bitmaps, review components, create design documentation, and ensure documents are controlled according to process. You may travel to site for tests and support problem solving.

Qualifications

• Studying Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Positive learning attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the production of book of wiring, scheme plans, control tables, I/O bitmaps, block designs.
• Review and propose hardware components and maintain Bill of Materials.
• Produce design documentation including hardware system requirements.
• Ensure the hardware design and functional documents produced are issued and controlled in accordance with company processes.
• Analyze results from site testing activities and support problem solving for any relevant design errors or test failures.
• Present and defend your technical solutions to your peers and possibly the customer.
