Job summary

The Government Technology Agency (GovTech) invites applications for a Deputy / Assistant Manager, Rail Regulation within the Rail Regulation Division. You will help regulate rail operators’ licences, codes of practice and safety, and contribute to monitoring MRT and LRT operations to ensure safe, reliable services.

You will conduct audits, investigations, and emergency exercises, while coordinating with multiple stakeholders to uphold public safety and service quality.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in Engineering.
• Ability to engage and manage multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Self-motivated, astute, meticulous and resourceful.
• Good time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Good communication (oral and written) and presentation skills.
• Knowledge in performing risk assessments, emergency planning, maintenance methodology and operation planning.

Responsibilities

• Monitor rail operators’ performance in operation, maintenance and safety through regulatory submissions, audits and inspections.
• Implement initiatives to safeguard commuters’ safety and travelling experience.
• Conduct regulatory investigations on rail incidents and participate in emergency exercises.
• Analyze rail service disruptions and their impact on operations.
