You will independently perform all general and certain specialised radiographic examinations such as ultrasound and other imaging modalities of diagnostic quality with due regard to patient care, clinical responsibility, radiation protection and effective use of technology. Your role will include supervising student radiographers, leading Quality Improvement projects and coordinating with other staff and clinicians on radiographic-related issues. You will also be responsible for quality control programmes and maintenance of imaging equipment and accessories. Depending on your area of interest and availability of roles, you can specialise in advanced imaging such as Computerised Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Ultrasound or Mammography in both inpatient and outpatient settings and assist in procedures such as Coronary Angiography and Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA).
