Job summary

Singapore National Eye Centre seeks a Radiographer to perform general and specialised radiographic examinations with emphasis on patient care, radiation safety, and imaging quality.

The role includes supervising student radiographers, driving quality improvement, and collaborating with clinical teams on imaging issues. Opportunities to specialise in CT, MRI, Ultrasound, or Mammography in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Qualifications

• Recognised Degree or Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography.
• AHPC registration or eligibility.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Entry-level candidates are welcome; on-the-job training provided.
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Responsibilities

• Perform general and specialised radiographic exams with due safety and patient care.
• Supervise student radiographers and lead quality improvement projects.
• Coordinate with staff and clinicians on radiographic issues and imaging quality.
• Assist advanced imaging modalities such as CT, MRI, Ultrasound or Mammography.
• Support procedures such as Coronary Angiography and PTCA.

Job Description

You will independently perform all general and certain specialised radiographic examinations such as ultrasound and other imaging modalities of diagnostic quality with due regard to patient care, clinical responsibility, radiation protection and effective use of technology. Your role will include supervising student radiographers, leading Quality Improvement projects and coordinating with other staff and clinicians on radiographic-related issues. You will also be responsible for quality control programmes and maintenance of imaging equipment and accessories. Depending on your area of interest and availability of roles, you can specialise in advanced imaging such as Computerised Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Ultrasound or Mammography in both inpatient and outpatient settings and assist in procedures such as Coronary Angiography and Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA).

Job Requirements

• Recognised Degree or Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography
• Registered or eligible for Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) registration
• A team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
