Job summary

Deutsche Bank AG in Singapore is seeking an experienced AVP-level professional to lead the DAP Middleware Platform team. You will build, operate and support secure platform services across on-prem and cloud environments, integrating automation and AI-assisted workflows.

You will collaborate with architects, engineering and customer teams, managing incidents, changes and knowledge management while driving continuous improvement of operational processes. Hybrid work arrangement is offered.

Qualifications

• 11+ years of AVP level experience with Splunk and log analytics.
• Hands-on scripting in Python and Perl (Mojolicious framework).
• Knowledge of MariaDB/Oracle, Git, and middleware platforms (Tomcat/JBoss/WebLogic).
• Familiarity with middleware tech and release lifecycle; strong communication and stakeholder skills.

Responsibilities

• Build, configure, operate and support DAP Middleware and PaaS across on-prem and cloud.
• Provide production support including incident, change, and problem management.
• Collaborate with architects, engineering, application teams and vendors to deliver secure platform solutions.
• Support migration activities, storage validation, and platform readiness checks.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and improve operational tooling.

Application Platforms builds and operates secure, standardised shared platforms that enable Deutsche Bank application teams to host and manage business applications. The DAP Middleware Platform team supports strategic Platform as a Service capabilities across on-premises and cloud-based environments, using automation, container and middleware technologies to improve reliability, efficiency and operational control.

Your key responsibilities:

• Build, configure, operate and support DAP Middleware and PaaS platform services across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Provide production support covering incident, change, problem, service request and knowledge management activities.
• Collaborate with architects, engineering, application teams, customer success, vendors and infrastructure teams to deliver secure and governed platform solutions.
• Support migration activities, storage validation, node bootstrapping, firewall validation and platform readiness checks.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and contribute to continuous improvement of operational processes and engineering tooling.

Your skills and experience:

• 11+ years of experience (AVP level) with strong expertise in Splunk, log analytics, programming, and scripting.
• Hands-on scripting experience in Python and Perl (Mojolicious framework) with strong troubleshooting and automation skills.
• Good knowledge of MariaDB/Oracle, Git, and middleware platforms including Tomcat, JBoss, and WebLogic
• Familiarity with middleware technologies including Tomcat, JBoss and WebLogic, along with application release lifecycle and troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and support SLA-driven outcomes.
• Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
