Job summary

Deutsche Bank in Singapore is seeking a Level 2 Network Operations Engineer within Global Network Services to support a robust, resilient data network and 24x7 client-centric operations. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve network incidents, collaborate with regional teams, and contribute to improvements.

The role demands hands-on experience with IP routing, TCP/IP, VPN, DWDM, BGP/OSPF, and CCNP or equivalent, plus the ability to lead incidents and train junior staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience as a Level 2 network engineer in enterprise-grade networks.
• Hands-on trouble shooting for IP routing and network protocols.
• CCNP or equivalent certification.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate operation, maintenance, and restoration of global data network.
• Follow procedures for Incident and change tickets; implement break/fix changes.
• Act as internal training resource for tier 1/2 engineers.
• Lead handovers between APAC and US L2 operation teams.
• Escalate to technical/management teams and engage vendor escalation services.
• Provide detailed incident summaries; serve as shift lead and network ops representative.

• As a Level 2 Network Operations Engineer in Global Network Services, you will be exposed to industry leading SDN, DCN, Cloud and Security technology.
• Your responsibilities include support of a robust and resilient network infrastructure which enables Deutsche Bank’s 24x7 client centric business.
• You will work with global colleagues to identify, diagnose, troubleshoot, resolve network problems, implement improvements, train colleagues, and help to leverage technology to provide secure, stable and innovative connectivity to Deutsche Bank and its clients.
• Represent Global Network operations during network and non-network incidents in incident management calls.

Your key responsibilities:

• Facilitate proper operation, maintenance, and restoration of global data network.
• Follow key operation procedure to progress and update Incident and change tickets
• Implement regular break fix related changes
• Acts as an internal training resource to tier 1/2 operations engineers.
• Participate in effective handovers between APAC and US L2 operation teams.
• Perform timely escalations to technical and management teams and engage vendor escalation services (Cisco TAC, Checkpoint, F5, Arista, DWDM, Fortinet, Akamai, McAfee)
• Provide detailed written summaries of Incidents.
• Act as shift lead
• Lead as Network Operations representative in managed incident calls.
• Discuss issues with management, Level 3/Advanced Services and Engineering.
• Serve as Subject Matter expert

Your skills and experience:

• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience as a Level 2 network engineer in enterprise grade networks.
• Hands-on experience in extensive Level 2 and 3 troubleshooting network problems pertaining to IP routing and network protocols.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, GTM, LTM VPN, MP-BGP, OSPF Cisco ACI, Wireless technology; DWDM (ADVA), Multicast, HSRP, Spanning tree, VRF and DDOS, IP services (DNS/DHCP) proxies.
• CCNP or other professional level certifications.
• Technical ability to troubleshoot and progress complex IP networks and hardware problems.
• Liaison with Operations Level 1 Engineer, Operations Level 3 Engineer, other IT groups regionally and globally for support and resolution of high priority incidents.
• Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
• This role requires you to work in a 12-hour day shift. 4 days work, followed by 4 days off.
