in Singapore is seeking a PhD-qualified R&D Engineer (Waste & Process Development) to design, evaluate, and optimize waste treatment and recovery processes at the Tuas site. You will collaborate with Sales, Marketing and Operations to understand waste sources, support project development, and run pilot trials, while expanding laboratory capabilities and ensuring safety and documentation standards.

Qualifications

• PhD in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in specialty chemicals, oil & gas, or water treatment.
• Strong problem-solving and team collaboration skills.
• Excellent analytical and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, evaluate, and optimize waste treatment, handling, and recovery processes.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to understand waste sources and support project development.
• Identify, assess, and implement new technologies with external partners.
• Establish and enhance laboratory capabilities, including process development and analytical methods.
• Drive continuous improvement by optimizing existing processes.
• Ensure compliance with procedures, safety, health, and environmental requirements.
• Support handling solutions for complex or high-value waste streams and contribute to business growth.
• Stay updated on industry trends and innovations.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
