Job summary

A technology company in Singapore is seeking a qualified candidate to optimize hard disk storage and enhance sputter machine performance. This role involves leading a team of engineers in sputtering processes and developing new thin film structures. Candidates should hold a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Materials Science Engineering, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the semiconductor field. Knowledge in Materials Science and relevant skills in manufacturing processes are mandatory. A commitment to after-work duties twice a week is also required.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in semiconductor field or hard disk industry.
• Research fellow experience in A star research institute is an advantage.
• Commitment to after work hours is required twice a week.

Job Description

• Optimizing hard disk storage: Implement strategies to maximize existing storage capacity and explore potential upgrades for significant storage expansion.
• Improving sputter machine stability: Focus on enhancing reliability and performance of sputter machine and its processes.
• Lead a group of sputter Engineer Assistants to conduct daily sputtering work.
• Develop new multilayers thin film structure for new hard disk media programs.
• Duplicate hard disk media structure based on design transferred.
• Monitor sputter process and machine stability.
• Ensure compliance to ISO quality and safety standards.
• Any other duties as assigned by superiors.

Job Requirement

• Bachelor/Master Degree in Materials Science Engineering.
• Research fellow in A star research institute (advantage).
• Working experience more than 2 years in semiconductor field or hard disk industry.
• Understanding of magnetic material multilayers design.
• Sputtering machine hardware modification and improvement.
• Materials Science Knowledge is a must.
