Job summary

A*STAR - Agency for Science, Technology and Research in Singapore invites applications for a Research Officer to design and execute laboratory experiments, analyze data, and document results. The role involves developing formulations and delivery systems and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

You will contribute to project planning, maintain records, support technology development, and assist in drafting reports, publications, and proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in biotechnology, biomedical sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, chemical engineering, biochemistry, molecular biology, nanotechnology, or related fields.
• Experience in laboratory research or R&D environments is preferred; fresh graduates encouraged.
• Experience in formulation development, nanoparticle systems, or biologics is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design and conduct laboratory experiments according to project objectives and established protocols.
• Develop, optimize, and evaluate formulations and delivery systems for nucleic acids, biologics, or other therapeutic modalities.
• Perform routine and advanced laboratory techniques, including sample preparation, characterization, and analysis.
• Analyze experimental data and prepare reports, presentations, and technical summaries.
• Contribute to the planning and execution of research projects and milestones.
• Maintain accurate experimental records, laboratory notebooks, and project documentation.
• Support technology development, process optimization, and troubleshooting activities.
• Assist in drafting research reports, scientific publications, patents, and grant proposals.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure instruments are properly calibrated and functioning.
• Manage laboratory consumables, reagents, and inventory.
• Ensure laboratory activities comply with safety regulations and quality requirements.
