Job summary

AKRIBIS SYSTEMS PTE. LTD. is seeking an engineer with foundational knowledge in control systems to develop and tune motion control solutions. The role emphasizes understanding PID control, applying it to simple motion scenarios, and leveraging Matlab for modeling and simulation.

Candidates with 1–2 years of relevant experience or strong learning ability will be considered. Basic knowledge of sensors, controllers, and power systems is preferred to support robust mechatronic applications.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in engineering industry or equivalent learning ability.
• Understand PID control and apply on simple motion systems.
• Undergraduate level training in Control, Linear Systems, Dynamic Systems or similar.
• Able to use Matlab or similar tools to formulate and simulate control models.

Requirements:

1. Preferably with 1-2 Year(s) of working experience in relevant engineering industry.
2. Applicants without experience but with good learning ability are welcome to apply.

Skillset(s) Requirement:

• Understand basic PID Control and able to apply fundamental knowledge on simple motion control systems.
• Have relevant training in the subject of Control, Linear Systems, Dynamic Systems or similar, with at least undergraduate level.
• Able to use Matlab (or other Mathematical tools) to formulate and simulate basic control model
• Basic knowledge and practical experience with sensors, controller/PLC/drivers and power supply.

Valuable added-advantage of skills & knowledge are:

• Hands-on experience with commercial controllers, i.e. able to set up a controller, drivers, motor(s) and encoder(s); and perform tuning to achieve desired motion performance.
• Strong control system analysis skill in both time and frequency domain
• Good fundamental understanding of mechatronic motion systems
