Job summary

AKRIBIS SYSTEMS PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks an Application Engineer to support, design, and commission motion control and machine vision systems for industrial automation projects.

The role involves creating electrical schematics, performing risk-based DOE studies, and producing BOMs while guiding customer-facing documentation and training. Travel overseas on short notice is required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in Industrial Automation, Semiconductor, Control System, Motion, Robotic or related field is preferred.
• Candidates with strong learning ability are welcome to apply.
• Knowledge of power sizing and power distribution is required.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks is expected.
• Strong communication and analytical skills, with team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide application support and setup for motion control and machine vision systems.
• Design electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and cable harnesses for motion controller systems.
• Conduct DOE for risk mitigation and feasibility studies on design concepts.
• Create BOMs for cables and electrical components used in projects.
• Review and guide product manuals and application notes for new products.
• Resolve application issues encountered in projects and by customers.
• Participate in travel to customer sites for machine commissioning and training.

Job description

• Application support and setup of motion control system, machine vision system, signal and control devices, used in motion control products and automation equipment
• Design of electrical schematic diagram, single line diagram, cable harness and build, for motion controller systems, device and sensors, used in Industrial automation machine and equipment
• Perform DOE for risk mitigation and feasibility studies on design concept
• Creation of Bill of Material of cables assembly and electrical component used in project
• Review and guides the development of product manual and application notes for new products/applications
• Evaluate and recommend product / solutions for new applications according to customer’s specification
• Understand and help to resolve application issues encountered in projects and by customer
• Work with team to fomulate work instructions
• Machine commisioning in factory/customer Site
• Ensure design meets project required milestone and timeline
• Provide training to customer
• Overseas travel is required with short notice period

Requirements

• Preferably with 1-2 Year(s) of working experience in Industrial Automation, Semiconductor, Control System, Motion, Robotic or any other related field/industry is required for this position.
