Job summary

WAGO Electronic Pte Ltd in Singapore invites a hands-on student to join our R&D team for a testing and hardware prototyping internship. Under the guidance of an R&D engineer, you will use lab equipment to test, verify, debug, and prepare test reports while contributing ideas for new product development.

The role requires pursuing a degree in Electrical/Electronic or Computer Engineering, basic knowledge of embedded systems, microcontrollers, PCB tech, and programming in C/C++/Python/MatLab.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing degree of Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent
• Hands-on person with fundamental knowledge of basic test and measurement equipment, wiring, soldering and test setup
• Basic knowledge of embedded systems, microcontrollers and PCB technology
• Basic knowledge of programming language such as C, C++, Python, MatLab
• Prior software experience in PCB design tool (Altium, Cadence..) would be an advantage
• Good technical and analytical skills
• Self-motivated and proactive working attitude and a good team player
• Fluent in English and good communication skills

Responsibilities

• Perform testing and verification of electronic product under the guidance of R&D Engineer.
• Use lab equipment and tools for testing and simple troubleshooting/debugging.
• Prepare test report and discuss with team members.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas for new product development.
• Perform simple hardware prototyping and microcontroller programming for proof-of-concept together with R&D engineer.
