Job summary

The National University of Singapore's Centre for Quantum Technologies (CQT) seeks an exceptional Quantum Computing Hardware Researcher to scale a 20-qubit platform to a 50+ qubit superconducting system. You will lead design, fabrication, calibration, and integration of advanced quantum hardware for access by external researchers.

You should have an MSc in physics or electrical engineering, a strong experimental background in superconducting qubits, and hands-on experience with cryogenics,

Qualifications

MSc in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Strong experimental background in superconducting quantum computing.
Experience with qubit fabrication, characterization, and control.
Familiarity with cryogenic systems and microwave engineering.
Track record of publications or contributions to quantum computing hardware projects.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and commission a 50+ qubit superconducting quantum computer.
Optimize processor performance and gate fidelities for scalable algorithms.
Integrate quantum processors into a complete, operational system with control/readout infrastructure.
Develop calibration protocols and error mitigation strategies for large-scale systems.
Collaborate with software and applications teams for external user access.
