Job summary

SIM LIAN CONSTRUCTION CO. (PTE.) LTD. is seeking a dedicated quantity surveyor/tender assistant to support measurement, take-offs, and cost analysis for projects and tenders.

You will prepare Bills of Quantities, obtain quotations, and assist in negotiating terms with suppliers and subcontractors. The role involves site visits for payment assessment, attendance at meetings, preparation of award letters, cost budgets, cash flow updates, and ensuring compliance with ISO 9001/14001/45001 systems.

Responsibilities

• To take-off quantities for project and tender.
• To prepare Bills of Quantities.
• To call and obtain quotations from suppliers, sub-contractors, vendors, Hirers.
• To assist superior in negotiating prices and terms with suppliers, subcontractors, etc.
• To assist superior in preparation and submission of tender.
• To visit site for assessment of payment, measurement and joint measurement.
• To attend site meetings.
• To prepare letters of award for suppliers/subcontractors and appointment letters for consultants.
• To prepare cost estimates, cost analyses for superior to review.
• To prepare budgetary cost, cash flow, updates to progress reports, S-curve, etc.
• To prepare cost comparisons and quotation reports.
• To prepare variation orders (VO) and final accounts for clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
• To prepare payment claims for clients.
• To issue Tax Invoices, payments, works orders, etc.
• To handle an individual project assigned to you.
• To prepare documents and drawings for tender presentations.
• To coordinate meetings and attend meetings.
• To implement ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 procedures/systems for full compliance.
