Job summary

HRNET VENTURES PTE. LTD. seeks a meticulous Quantity Surveyor to join our team and support tendering and post-contract functions for government and construction projects.

The role focuses on cost estimation, tender document review, quotations from vendors, and preparing commercial reports for management. You will also assist in variations, progress claims, and subcontract documentation, while coordinating with various departments to ensure compliant, competitive bids.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction, or Civil Engineering.
• Min 2 years of relevant experience in the local construction industry.
• Experience handling government project tenders is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and cost evaluation skills.

Responsibilities

• Collect and review tender documents for completeness and compliance (specifications, drawings, commercial & technical requirements).
• Perform detailed cost estimation, material take-offs, and man-hour calculations.
• Obtain quotations from local and overseas vendors for materials, equipment, and subcontract works.
• Compile and compare quotations, review pricing, and recommend competitive bids.
• Estimate indirect costs including staff, site establishment, and miscellaneous expenses.
• Prepare unit rates, equipment rates, and tender summaries for management review.
• Attend site visits and clarification meetings with clients.
• Support tender negotiations with necessary cost information.
• Assist in preparation of project variations, progress claims, and subcontract documentation.
• Coordinate with internal departments on commercial matters (e.g. insurance, contractual requirements).
• Prepare post-contract documentation transfer.
