Job summary

NEXBRIDGE RECRUITMENT PTE. LTD. is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to manage cost estimates, budgets, tender documentation and contract negotiations across construction projects.

The role requires evaluating quotations, cost control and value engineering to ensure value for money. The ideal candidate will have a Diploma or Bachelor's in Quantity Surveying or Engineering and at least 2 years of relevant experience, with strong analytical and negotiating skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying, construction costing or commercial management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project cost estimates, budgets and detailed costing reports throughout the project lifecycle.
• Source, evaluate and analyse quotations from contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, including price comparisons and costing summaries.
• Prepare and manage tender documentation, contracts and other relevant contractual documents.
• Conduct tender evaluations and analysis, and assist with the agreement of final contract sums.
• Monitor project costs and ensure expenditure remains within approved budgets and cost limits.
• Negotiate contracts, variations and final accounts to achieve commercially viable outcomes and value for money.

Job description

• Prepare project cost estimates, budgets and detailed costing reports throughout the project lifecycle
• Source, evaluate and analyse quotations from contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, including price comparisons and costing summaries
• Prepare and manage tender documentation, contracts and other relevant contractual documents
• Conduct tender evaluations and analysis, and assist with the agreement of final contract sums
• Work closely with project teams on variation orders, progress claims, cost control and value engineering
• Monitor project costs and ensure expenditure remains within approved budgets and cost limits
• Review and assess contractors’ and subcontractors’ claims, providing recommendations on cost and contractual matters
• Liaise with main contractors, subcontractors, clients, consultants and suppliers on project costing and commercial matters
• Maintain accurate documentation, records and reports for all quantity surveying activities
• Prepare QS reports, including cost reports, financial statements and project forecasts
• Conduct cost analysis, risk assessments and financial evaluations to identify and manage potential project risks
• Negotiate contracts, variations and final accounts to achieve commercially viable outcomes and value for money
• Perform cost analysis for construction works and support post-contract cost management throughout the project
