Job summary

SONICS ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. is seeking a dedicated Quantity Surveyor to manage commercial and contractual aspects of construction and engineering projects in Singapore.

You will prepare cost estimates, budgets, tender documents, review contracts, administer main and subcontracts, monitor costs and cash flow, and produce cost reports. The ideal candidate has a degree in Quantity Surveying or related field, at least 2 years' experience, strong cost control, negotiation, and communication skills,

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying.
• Strong experience in cost control, project budgeting, and tendering processes.
• Proven ability to handle claims, variations, and final accounts.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents
• Source and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Review drawings, specifications, contracts and other project documentation to identify scope and cost requirements.
• Lead procurement processes including preparation of contract documents and negotiations
• Administer and manage main and subcontractor contracts, including claims, variations, and interim valuations
• Monitor project costs and cash flow, and prepare cost reports and forecasts
• Ensure proper documentation of all contractual and financial matters
• Liaise with project managers, consultants, clients, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, legal regulations, and industry standards
