Job summary

Search Personnel Pte Ltd in Singapore (Ubi) is seeking a Quantity Surveyor for Builders’ Works & M&E. The role involves tendering, procurement oversight, and cost management to support project budgets and claims.

Requirements include a Diploma/degree in Quantity Surveying and 3–5 years of relevant experience in construction, interior fit-out, M&E, or related fields. Salary SGD 5,000–5,500 with AWS and 14 days of annual leave.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• 3–5 years of QS experience in construction, interior fit-out, M&E, cleanroom or related projects.
• Strong cost control, tendering, variation assessment and contract administration skills.
• Ability to read drawings, specifications and Bills of Quantities.

Responsibilities

• Review and execute tender documents in line with tender requirements.
• Assist in procurement and overview of purchases.
• Liaise with contractors and suppliers on quotations; include take-off of BQ.
• Prepare submission documents and cost estimations for tenders.
• Prepare costing and discuss margins with Manager/Director.
• Furnish budgetary costing for tender and negotiate final pricing with contractors/suppliers.
• Prepare project budgets, reports and cost estimation; allocate work to subcontractors.
• Report to Director / QS Lead.

Job description

• Position : Quantity Surveyor – Builders’ Works & M&E

• Location : Ubi

• Working hours : Monday to Friday, 8:30AM-5:30PM, and Saturday, 8:30AM - 1:00PM, with Saturday work performed from home.

• Salary (commensurate with experience) : $5,000–$5,500 basic per month, depending on relevant experience, + AWS + 14 days of annual leave

Main Responsibilities:

• Review and execute tender documents, submission in accordance to tender requirement
• Assist in procurement and overview of purchases
• To liaise with contractors / suppliers on quotation and includes taking off of BQ
• Preparation on submission documents
• Prepare and analyzing costing for tenders (Compare quotations).
• Prepare costing and discuss with Manager / Director for final figure (Margin, Prelim and profit)
• Furnish budgetary costing for tender
• Negotiated final pricing with contractors / supplier (retention, warranty, T&C)
• Preparation of project budgets, report and cost estimation
• Allocate work to subcontractors and providing advice on contractual claims
• Submission for progress claim
• Preparation of quotations and any VO for submission
• Report to Director / QS Lead

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management or a related discipline
• 3-5 years of relevant QS experience in construction, interior fit-out, M&E, cleanroom or specialist engineering projects.
• Strong experience in cost control, tendering, variation assessment and contract administration.
• Able to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and bills of quantities.
