Job summary

SINGAPORE ENGINEERING & CONSTRUCTION PTE. LTD. is seeking a seasoned Quantity Surveyor to manage tendering, contracts and cost control on civil and building projects in Singapore.

You will prepare BOQ for tendering, negotiate with subcontractors, monitor costs, prepare payment certificates, and coordinate changes with the design team.

Minimum 6 years local experience, a Diploma/ Degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of local working experience in civil and building projects.
• Able to work well in a team and show initiative and a positive attitude.
• Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bill of quantities (BOQ) for tendering of subcontract packages, including sourcing subcontractors and suppliers.
• Handle contract negotiations with subcontractors/suppliers and prepare subcontract agreements.
• Monitor costs, ensure adherence to contract specifications and drawings.
• Prepare payment certificates for subcontractors.
• Evaluate, negotiate revisions and additions to contracts with subcontractors.
• Prepare variation orders and reconcile with client’s quantity surveyors.
• Prepare monthly progress claims and assist cashflow forecast for submission to client.
• Coordinate plan changes with the design team and review potential variation claims.

• Handle contract negotiations with subcontractors/suppliers and prepares subcontract agreement
• Handle cost monitoring, adherence to contract specifications and drawings
• Prepare payment certificates of subcontractor
• Evaluate and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreement with subcontractors
• Prepare variation orders and reconcile with the client’s quantity surveyors in accordance to the contract agreement
• Prepare monthly progress claim to client and assist in preparation of cashflow forecast for submission to client
• Coordinate changes in plans with design team and review the potential variation claims to client

Job Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Quantity Surveying / Civil Engineering or other related field
• Minimum 6 years of local working experience in Civil and Building projects
