Job summary

MACBUILD Construction PTE. LTD. seeks a proactive Quantity Surveyor to manage tender activities, prepare submissions, and coordinate with the Contracts Manager. The role requires accurate measurement, quotations, and effective liaison with sub-contractors.

You will handle variation orders, final accounts, and payments while maintaining meticulous records and ensuring deadlines are met in a dynamic construction environment in Singapore.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, with relevant experience in A&A projects preferred.
• Proven ability in tender estimates, contract negotiation, contract administration and variation orders.
• Able to work independently to estimate and prepare tender submissions.
• Good communication and negotiation skills; able to meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Attend site show rounds for site briefing.
• Independently organise and carry out tender submissions with background briefing, quotations, take-off quantities, and management presentation.
• Measurement, payment responses, and evaluation of variation orders for subcontractors.
• Obtain quotations, liaise with sub-contractors and suppliers, negotiate terms.
• Measure quantities accurately for tender take-offs.
• Prepare Variation Orders, claims, final accounts, settlements and subcontractor payments.
• All other QS related duties.

• Attend site show round for site briefing.
• Independently organise and carry out tender which include briefing management on tender background, calling of quotation, taking off quantity, presentation of comparison, quantity to management and finally compiling the tender submission with Contracts Manager guidance.
• Measurement, payment response, and evaluation of VO for the subcontractor.
• Obtaining quotations, liaising and negotiate with sub-contractors and suppliers.
• Responsible for measuring quantities and taking off with good accuracy for tender.
• Prepare Variation Orders, claims, final accounts, settlement and sub-contractor payments
• All other QS related job

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in the Construction industry especially those in A&A projects. For SQS, minimum of 6 years of Singapore working experience in a main contractor company.
• Proven ability in tender estimate, contract negotiation, contract administration & variation orders
• Able to work independent to estimate and prepare tender submission
• Able to work independently, be meticulous, analytical with excellent problem-solving skills, proactive, a good team player & able to meet tight deadlines
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
