Job summary

HI-TEK CONSTRUCTION PTE. LTD. is seeking a competent Quantity Surveyor to support cost estimation, tendering, and cost control on projects in Singapore. You will work closely with Senior QS to prepare cost comparisons and manage subcontractor quotations.

We value meticulous, analytical minds with strong teamwork and the ability to meet tight deadlines. Candidates with 2 years of relevant experience and familiarity with HDB BTO contracts have an advantage.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or Building or its equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist in cost estimation and tender exercise.
• Prepare cost comparisons with Senior QS.
• Liaise and negotiate with sub-contractors and suppliers.
• Obtaining quotations from suppliers and sub-contractors.
• Prepare tender documents and costings summaries and price comparisons.
• Ensure accurate measurement of quantities to assist in progress payment claims and final accounts.
• Prepare Variation Orders, claims, final accounts and subcontractor payments.
• Certify and evaluate progress work and variations for both subcontract and main contracts.
• Be meticulous, analytical with excellent problem-solving skills and able to meet tight deadlines.
• Perform all other QS-related jobs.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Assist in cost estimation and future tender exercise.
• Assist prepare and analyze the cost comparison together with Senior QS.
• Liaise and negotiate with sub-contractors and suppliers.
• Obtaining quotations from suppliers and sub-contractors.
• Prepare and administer tender documents and doing costing summary and price comparison.
• Ensure accurate measurement of quantities to assist in the preparation of progress payment claims, variation order claims and payments to subcontractors and suppliers including all final accounts.
• Prepare Variation Orders, claims, final accounts, settlement and sub-contractor payments.
• Certify and evaluate progress work done, includes contract administration for variations for both subcontract and main contract works.
• Be meticulous, analytical with excellent problem-solving skills, proactive, a good team player & able to meet tight deadlines.
• Perform all other QS-related jobs.

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or Building or its equivalent
• Minimum 2 years’ relevant working experience in main construction companies
• Experience in HDB BTO contracts an advantage
• Be able to work independently with minimum guidance and under pressure to meet tight deadlines
• Good team player, keen desire to learn, contribute, advance and progress with the company.
