Job summary

Ourclient, a semiconductor and electronics test solutions manufacturer, is seeking a Quality Engineer to join its Singapore operations.

You will develop qualification tests, perform accelerated life testing, analyze results with statistical methods, and work with suppliers to improve component quality and resolve issues promptly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a semiconductor or related high-tech manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of qualification test planning, test instrumentation, and problem-solving methodologies.
• Solid background in statistical analysis (e.g., DOE, Cpk, t-test, regression, reliability analysis).
• Proactive and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Minitab and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and carry out qualification testing to verify that new product designs meet the requirements of their intended applications.
• Establish and conduct accelerated life and stress testing programmes to assess the durability and performance of critical components.
• Analyze test results and reliability data using statistical methods, and compile technical findings into detailed reports.
• Assess component quality and work with suppliers to address quality concerns and implement improvement measures.
• Investigate product failures and technical issues, working alongside engineering teams to identify root causes and determine appropriate solutions.
• Document and monitor defects identified during qualification testing, ensuring corrective actions are implemented and resolved within the required timeframe.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and uphold 5S practices within the accelerated life testing laboratory.
• Carry out regular safety inspections and ensure laboratory equipment and testing instruments are properly maintained and kept in good working condition.
