Job summary

Pratt & Whitney Singapore is seeking a Diploma-educated quality inspector to perform in-process and final visual and dimensional inspections on aircraft components, ensuring conformance with drawings, work instructions and specifications.

You will prepare inspection reports, interpret CMM and other inspection tools, participate in audits, and support continuous improvement; rotating Day/Night shifts and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering or relevant disciplines.
• 2 years of relevant quality inspection experience.
• Proficient with inspection equipment and visual aids (CMM/NDT/SAP familiarity).
• Ability to read technical drawings and SOPs; good eyesight and color vision.
• Willing to work rotating Day/Night shifts and overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final visual and dimensional inspection on aircraft components.
• Inspect components against drawings and specifications; prepare inspection reports.
• Interpret CMM, NDT and other inspection reports; ensure tolerance compliance.
• Participate in audits and support continuous improvement initiatives.

What You Will Do

• Perform in-process and final visual and dimensional inspection on aircraft components.
• Inspect aircraft components and ensure conformance against the technical drawings, work instructions and specification requirements.
• Prepare Inspection Report.
• Understand and interpret CMM, Blue light inspection reports.
• Understand specifications for inspection tolerances, limitations and procedures established by the manufacturer of the product being inspected.
• Participate in audits and inspections as and when required.
• Demonstrate commitment to safety requirements by complying to EH&S regulations and policies.
• Support the continuous improvement programs and CORE (Customer Oriented Results & Excellence) activities.
• Comfortable to learn new advanced technology.
• Carry out any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Diploma in Engineering or relevant disciplines.
• 2 years of relevant quality inspection experience.
• Familiar with various inspection methods, techniques, practices, aids, equipment’s, and tools used to determine the quality of airworthiness of a part.
• Proficient in the use of various types of inspection equipment and visual inspection aids such as Stylus, Vernier Calliper, Shadowgraph, GapGun etc.
• Pass vision exam (Jaeger #1 test chart at not less than 12 inches) and a color blindness test.
• Ability to understand basic technical instructions, drawing and standard operation procedures (SOP).
• Meticulous with an eye for details and adopts a hands-on approach.
• Willing to work on rotating shifts (Day & Night) and overtime on need basis.

Qualifications We Prefer

Relevant aerospace, manufacturing, or precision engineering experience.

Knowledge in CMM, NDT or SAP user experience.
