Job summary

CHEEMA ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks graduate engineers with 3-6 years of relevant experience to lead on-site inspection and planning for process piping and in-service equipment.

You will perform risk-based inspections, review ITPs and welding-related procedures, and coordinate shutdown activities to ensure compliance with standards. The role requires independence, English fluency, and willingness to commit to a 24-month contract for refinery/oil & gas projects.

Qualifications

• Graduate engineers with 3-6 years of relevant experience.
• Engineering degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Petroleum/Oil/Gas, Civil, Chemical or Industrial Engineering are acceptable.
• Experience in Refinery and Oil & Gas is must.
• Knowledge/experience in welding inspection, structural fabrication, piping Isometric drawing and piping materials.
• Work independently and can work in Singapore and other countries.
• Fluent reading, speaking and writing in English.
• Willing to commit 24 months contract/project completion.
• Team worker, mature, meticulous, pro-active attitude and ability to work independently.
• Energetic and result oriented.

Responsibilities

• Review the inspection history to summarize the integrity status of plant equipment and piping systems.
• Perform the scoping work and prepare the job pack for process piping and in-service equipment based on engineering assessment and annual inspection plan.
• Plan and carry out fixed equipment/piping inspection via on-stream risk-based monitoring programs and downtime inspection activities including CUI and CUP on process piping and equipment.
• Identify areas of special concern and deterioration (e.g. dead legs, injection points, mix points, CUI).
• Supervision and coordination of on-stream and shutdown inspection and activities for static equipment and in-service piping.
• Review inspection test plans, WPS and method statements for in-service repair work of piping and pressure vessels.
• Witness PT, MPI, PMI, metallographic tube testing and hydrostatic tests for statutory equipment.
• Provide recommendations and timely updates on equipment degradation problems.
• Provide quality assurance on project construction and maintenance works to ensure compliance with codes and standards.
• Prepare final inspection reports with findings, abnormalities and recommendations.
• Ensure quality of inspected items to meet project requirements and standards.
• In-service inspections in refineries/Oil & Gas/Petrochemical industries (CUPS, CUI, Injection & Mix points).
• Read and understand project ITPs, procedures, specifications.

• Knowledge in welding inspection

EligibilityCriteria

• Graduate Engineers with 3-6 years ofrelevant experience.
