Job summary

APEX Asia Management Group PTE. LTD. is seeking a QA Engineer to design and execute test plans from PRD, ensuring coverage of finance/ops rules and AI workflows. You will drive end-to-end defect tracking, own UAT, and advance test automation to improve efficiency as the project matures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in CS or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of software testing/QA experience.
• Completed testing lifecycle: test planning, design, execution, defects, regression, release acceptance.
• Able to derive test scope from PRD and acceptance criteria independently.
• Decisive and accountable, drives tasks to completion.
• Hands-on with at least one automation framework (Playwright/JUnit/Selenium).
• Able to read/write Chinese; comfortable with Chinese docs/PRDs.
• Good written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Lead test execution and own defects end to end through closure.

Job description

What you'll do

• Work independently from the PRD to understand product requirements and define test scope and acceptance criteria

• Design and write complete test cases covering Finance/Ops business rules, AI agent Q&A/workflows, and other scenarios — including happy paths, edge cases, and error cases

• Lead test execution, own defects end to end through to closure, and take responsibility for test results and product quality

• Own the full process from requirement understanding through to final acceptance (UAT), acting as the owner of product quality rather than just an executor running scripts

• Drive the build-out of test automation as the project matures, progressively covering core regression scenarios to improve testing efficiency

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience

• 3+ years of software testing/QA experience

• Has been through a complete testing lifecycle before (test planning, test case design, execution, defect tracking, regression, release acceptance)

• Able to work from a PRD / requirements doc to independently identify test scope and acceptance criteria

• Decisive and accountable — proactively drives tasks to completion rather than waiting to be assigned work

• Hands‑on experience with at least one test automation framework (e.g. Playwright, JUnit, Selenium)

• Able to read and write Chinese, and comfortable reading Chinese technical docs/PRDs

• Good written and spoken English

Nice to have

• Familiar with RESTful API testing methods and tools (e.g. Postman, curl)

• Experience building an API test automation framework

• Comfortable writing SQL to verify data in a database

• Experience with performance or load testing

• Basic security testing knowledge (e.g. common OWASP risk areas)

• Experience testing AI/LLM applications (conversational products, agents)

• Testing experience with finance/property management/ERP-style SaaS products
