Job summary

TEAM, Inc. is seeking a skilled QHSE professional to ensure regulatory compliance and robust risk management across our sites in Singapore.

The role focuses on hazard identification, risk assessments and the development of safe work procedures to protect people and the environment. You will conduct scheduled QHSE audits at company and client sites, manage ISO and other management systems, and deliver induction and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health is required.
• Experience with QHSE control procedures and standards is essential.
• Good spoken and written English is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain legal and regulatory compliance of business activities from a QHSE perspective.
• Undertake hazard identification, risk assessments and develop safe work procedures.
• Maintain registers for hazard identification, environmental aspects and compliance.
• Carry out planned QHSE audits of company and client sites.
• Manage ongoing compliance with ISO certified and accredited management systems.
• Provide induction and ongoing QHSE training.
• Plan internal audit schedules and prepare for audits by 2nd/3rd parties; plan supplier audits.
• Monitor safety protocols at facilities and ensure effectiveness (fire prevention, emergency procedures, H&S info, First Aider, signage, PETE testing).
• Administer and investigate QHSE accidents, incidents or near misses; implement corrective actions.

Description

Responsibilities

• Maintain legal and regulatory compliance of business activities from a QHSE perspective.
• Ensure adequate QHSE risk management processes are in operation by undertake hazard identification/risk assessments and develop procedures and safe work method statements.
• Maintenance of registers for hazard identification, environmental aspects, legal and other compliance.
• To carry out planned QHSE audits of company and client sites.
• Manage ongoing compliance with the companies ISO certified and accredited Management Systems.
• Provide induction and on-going QHSE training.
• Plan and communicate internal audit schedules, and undertake system audits, prepare for and respond to 2nd and 3rd party audits, as well as plan for and undertake 2nd party audits on suppliers.
• To monitor standard & emergency safety protocols at company facilities to ensure that these are adequate and effective (i.e. Fire prevention measures, Emergency procedures, H&S information, First Aider provision, Signage, local PETE testing etc).
• To administer and investigate any QHSE Accidents, Incidents or Near Misses Instigate corrective actions and make recommendations which will prevent a recurrence, as well as implement change.
• To assist in defending the company against any legal actions taken by regulatory Authorities or other parties in matters relating to Health, Safety and Environment.

Requirements

• Completed Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health
• Proficiency in specialised fields to understand and apply advanced policies, practices, procedures, concepts and principles
• Broad experience of the subject plus appropriate qualifications
• Experience of QHSE control procedures and standards
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English
• Good interpersonal and management skills
