Qualifications

• Degree in Food Science, Engineering, Quality Management, Supply Chain, or related discipline.
• Significant experience in Quality, Food Safety, Operations, Manufacturing, or related fields.
• Experience leading regional projects, strategic initiatives, or transformation programs.
• Strong understanding of quality systems, compliance, governance, and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Lead deployment of APAC QFS strategic priorities and transformation programs.
• Establish governance frameworks, reporting mechanisms, and performance dashboards; monitor progress and risks.
• Drive cross-category initiatives to strengthen compliance, food safety, and operational performance.
• Lead initiatives to strengthen QFS capability, culture, and organizational effectiveness.
• Partner with multiple stakeholders across a complex matrix organization to align regional and global QFS efforts.

Job description

The Quality & Food Safety (QFS) Strategic Initiatives Lead is responsible for accelerating the Asia Pacific (APAC) QFS strategy through the leadership of regional transformation programs, governance, performance management, and capability-building initiatives. The role acts as the central integrator across categories, markets, manufacturing sites, suppliers, co-manufacturers, and global functions to translate strategy into measurable business outcomes.

The position drives simplification, standardization, operational excellence, and organizational effectiveness while strengthening food safety, quality performance, compliance, and risk management across APAC. The role supports the development of a future-ready QFS organization through strong program leadership, change management, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Accountabilities

Strategic Program Leadership

• Lead the deployment of APAC QFS strategic priorities and transformation programs.
• Translate strategy into actionable roadmaps, milestones, and measurable outcomes.
• Drive execution excellence and ensure delivery against agreed objectives.

Governance & Performance

• Establish governance frameworks, reporting mechanisms, and performance dashboards.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and drive accountability for delivery.
• Provide strategic insights and recommendations to APAC QFS leadership.

Continuous Improvement & Risk Management

• Lead cross-category initiatives that strengthen compliance, food safety, and operational performance.
• Drive standardization and best-practice adoption across the region.
• Support governance of critical risk mitigation and improvement programs.

Capability& Change Leadership

• Lead initiatives that strengthen QFS capability, culture, and organizational effectiveness.
• Promote adoption of new standards, systems, and digital solutions.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing and communities of practice across APAC.

Stakeholder Management

• Partner with Category QFS Leads, Market QFS teams, Operations, Procurement, R&I, Manufacturing, Digital, and Global QFS stakeholders.
• Influence decision-making and alignment across a complex matrix organization.
• Represent APAC QFS in regional and global strategic forums

Experience & Qualifications

• Degree in Food Science, Engineering, Quality Management, Supply Chain, or related discipline.
• Significant experience in Quality, Food Safety, Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or related fields.
• Experience leading regional projects, strategic initiatives, or transformation programs.
• Strong understanding of quality systems, compliance, governance, and risk management.
• Experience working across multiple markets and functions within a complex organization.
