Job summary

PPG is seeking a Quality Control Technician to conduct surveillance testing and evaluation of sealants onsite in Singapore. You will organize samples, coordinate with manufacturers for conformance tests, and prepare reports to certify and release products for shipment.

You will handle incoming material testing, process testing, analysis, and maintain calibration of lab equipment while ensuring compliance with the QMS and 5S practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum Higher/NITEC in chemical science or chemical engineering or related disciplines.
• Minimum 1 year work experience in aerospace/chemical-related industry or lab environment.
• Experience in quality assurance or quality control an added advantage.
• No colour blindness.
• Proficient in MS Office with good report writing and record maintenance.
• High energy level, initiative and team player.

• Responsible for all QC responsibilities including incoming material testing, process testing and analysis.
• Maintain inventory of laboratory equipment and ensure quality checks of coatings products.
• Establish coating formulas using spectrophotometer, blend, spray color match and corrections.
• Support QMS compliance and help create procedures/work instructions.
• Follow safety rules, risk assessments and 5S housekeeping; assist QA Engineer in audits.

Job description

You will be responsible for all Quality Control responsibilities including incoming material testing, process testing and analysis. This role is a fully onsite role and you will reporting to Quality Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform surveillance test and evaluation of sealants.
• Arrange samples and communicate with Manufacturer for full conformance test.
• Prepare test reports, certify and release products for shipment.
• Responsible for all Quality Control responsibilities including incoming material testing, process testing and analysis
• Maintain the inventory of all laboratory equipment.
• Responsible for quality checks of multiple coatings products.
• Establish coatings formula using spectrophotometer or other colour matching techniques, blend and spray the colour match and perform any corrections.
• Support company's objectives and procedures in compliance with quality management system (QMS).
• Help create new procedures and work instructions to maintain the QMS.
• Follow laboratory procedures, safety rules and risk assessments.
• Other responsibilities include preventive maintenance, managing calibrations of measuring equipment and maintaining a 5S housekeeping program
• Assist QA Engineer on process audit and investigation of complaints

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year work experience in aerospace/Chemical-related industry or Laboratory environment.
• Experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control an added advantage.

• Proficient in MS Office application with good report writing skills and record maintenance.
• You must have high energy level, initiative and is a team player
