Job summary

ST Engineering is seeking detail-oriented Specialists to support production operations in coating formulations, preparation, mixing, and application. The role ensures quality and safety standards are met throughout the coating process.

The position involves formulating, preparing, applying bespoke coatings, monitoring processes, and coordinating with the production team to meet deadlines and maintain high-quality output. Overtime or weekend work may be required depending on project deadlines.

Qualifications

• Diploma, NITEC or relevant certificate in Engineering, Chemical Process, Applied Science or related field.
• Proven experience as a chemical process technician or coatings application process in coatings tech advantageous.

• Application of coatings using automated systems.
• Match finishes according to specifications or sample references.
• Inspect and test completed work for quality and adherence to project requirements.

• Knowledge of different coating types, finishes, and application techniques will be advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to achieve consistent, high-quality results.
• Commitment to workplace safety and cleanliness

Working Conditions

• Exposure to aerosol fumes, dust, and other airborne materials
• PPE will be provided and must be worn for extended periods of time.
• May involve overtime, weekend work or temporary shift work depending on project deadlines.
