Job summary

Smith group in Singapore is seeking a QC Specialist to ensure quality control of components prior to shipment. You will visually inspect parts for accuracy, packaging according to moisture sensitivity, and liaise with manufacturers for part markings and firmware details.

You will support the functional test lab and assist procurement in resolving material issues. The role requires attention to detail, good communication, and the ability to work quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of QC experience is preferred.
• Electronics industry experience is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret spec sheets and measurements.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect parts before shipping, verifying part, number, quantity and damage.
• Support tasks in the functional test lab as directed by Operations Manager.
• Seal and package parts according to moisture sensitivity level.
• Communicate with component manufacturers to verify part markings, firmware and serials.
• Interpret specs, measure dimensions, inspect with optical scopes when needed.
• Generate discrepancy reports and support testing activities.
• Coordinate with procurement and account reps to resolve material issues.
• Assist daily operations and team tasks as required.
