Job summary

SOLID M&Z PTE. LTD. is hiring a QA/QC professional to ensure contract compliance and lead site inspections on construction projects. The role requires supervising NDT and visual inspections, issuing NCRs, and coordinating with QPs and consultants to drive quality improvements.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 5+ years in QA/QC, and has knowledge of QMS, SG CONQUAS, and construction management tools.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years QA/QC experience in local construction industry.
• In-depth knowledge of quality management principles and QMS implementation.
• Proficiency with construction management software and QA/QC documentation tools.
• Experience in MEP building construction works.
• BCA CONQUAS/Quality Mark certification mandatory.
• Ability to work independently and in teams in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Ensure strict compliance with contractual QA/QC requirements and project needs.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to verify product quality against design and technical specs.
• Supervise visual inspections and NDT procedures, including third‑party work.
• Issue NCRs for deviations, monitor corrective actions and defect rectification.
• Coordinate with QPs, consultants and REs to resolve and close NCRs; report progress to the project team.
• Prepare, submit and monitor Method Statements, Quality Records, Test Activities and Material Submissions for approvals.
• Update monthly quality-related progress reports for authorities, including SG CONQUAS.

• Ensure strict compliance with various contractual QA/QC requirement conforming to project requirement.
• Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure product quality meets design parameters and technical requirements while also adhering to BCA's Good Industry Practice guidelines.
• Supervise and manage all visual inspections and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) procedures, including those carried out by third-party subcontractors.
• Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) when activities deviate from approved drawings and contract specifications. Monitor corrective actions and process improvement, as well as ensuring proper defect rectification of subcontractor workers across all trades.
• Coordinate with Qualified Persons (QPs) and consultants & RE to resolve and close Non-Conformance notices. Monitoring & report to project leading team until NCR close.
• Prepare, submit & monitor Method Statements, Quality Records, Test Activities, Material Submissions, and T&C Procures for consultant approval.
• Update and submit monthly progress reports related to quality matters to authorities, especially for SG CONQUAS requirement.
• Oversee corrective actions and monitor their implementation.
• Support external and internal quality audits on-site

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years QA/QC experience in the local construction industry
• In-depth knowledge of quality management principles and experience with implementing QMS
