Job summary

Focal Search Pte Ltd is seeking a QA/QC Inspector to verify products and processes in a manufacturing/marine environment in Singapore. You will examine incoming goods, verify documentation, and ensure compliance with quality standards, while coordinating with suppliers and internal teams.

Qualifications

  • Requires technical certificate or diploma in quality management or similar discipline.
  • At least 2–5 years QA/QC inspection experience in manufacturing and marine sectors.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and other quality management systems.
  • Understanding of measuring devices, calibration procedures, and inspection tools.
  • Ability to read technical specifications, assembly instructions, and engineering drawings.

  • Ability to prioritise multiple inspection tasks in a busy setting.

Responsibilities

  • Examine incoming supplies, parts, and machinery against purchase specs, drawings and quality standards.
  • Check supplier records, inspection reports, calibration certificates, and certificates of conformance.
  • Identify non-conforming materials, document them, and quarantine as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and suppliers to address quality concerns.
  • Maintain precise records of incoming inspections and QA/QC paperwork.
  • Conduct regular inspections during fabrication, assembly, and maintenance processes.
  • Verify adherence to work instructions, drawings and quality procedures during assembly/testing.
  • Report, investigate and address defects with relevant departments.
  • Perform final pre-shipment inspections and ensure compliance with customer specs.
  • Monitor quality reports, checklists, inspection records, and QA/QC documentation.
  • Promote and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Participate in internal audits and assist with external audits (ISO 9001).
  • Monitor calibration status of test and inspection equipment.
  • File Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and assist with CAPA and RCA processes.

Responsibilities
  • Examine incoming supplies, parts, and machinery in comparison to purchase specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
  • Check supplier records, inspection reports, calibration certificates, and certificates of conformance.
  • Recognize non-conforming materials, record them, and place them in quarantine.
  • To address quality concerns, collaborate with internal departments and suppliers.
  • Keep precise records of incoming inspections.
  • Conduct regular inspections during the processes of fabrication, assembly, and maintenance.
  • Verify that approved work instructions, engineering drawings, and quality procedures are followed when assembling and testing products.
  • Defects should be reported, looked into, and corrected with the appropriate departments.
  • Before shipping, do a final inspection.
  • Before releasing, make sure all customer specifications and quality standards are fulfilled.
  • Keep track of quality reports, checklists, inspection records, and QA/QC paperwork.
  • Encourage the Quality Management System (QMS) to be implemented and continuously improved.
  • Take part in internal audits and help with external audits, like ISO 9001.
  • Keep an eye on the test and inspection equipment's calibration status.
  • File Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and assist with Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
Requirements
  • A technical certificate or diploma in quality management or a similar discipline.
  • At least two to five years of experience conducting QA/QC inspections in the manufacturing and marine sectors.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and other quality management systems.
  • Understanding of measuring devices, calibration procedures, and inspection tools.
  • The capacity to read technical specifications, assembly instructions, and engineering drawings.
  • A dedication to quality and ongoing development.
  • The capacity to prioritize several inspection tasks in a hectic setting.
