Job summary

Talent Trader Group is seeking an Inspection Engineer in Singapore to perform rigorous surveys of vessels, shipyards, and offshore facilities in compliance with industry guidelines. You will produce detailed reports and actionable recommendations for clients.

The role requires at least 2 years in marine inspection, with familiarity of hull structures as a strong plus. Travel internationally or domestically is expected to support projects across sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct Inspections: Perform rigorous technical surveys on vessels, shipyards, offshore facilities, and international sites following industrial guidelines and classification rules.

• Reporting & Documentation: Compile detailed inspection reports and provide actionable technical recommendations for clients.

• Project Coordination: Plan, organize, and execute inspection tasks independently while liaising smoothly with customers and stakeholders.

• Quality Assurance: Ensure all operations meet the highest accuracy standards and support broader QA/QC initiatives.

Job Requirements

• Education: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Experience: At least 2 years of relevant work history, preferably within the marine sector (familiarity with vessel hull structures is a strong plus).

• Certifications: Knowledge of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), with ASNT or PCN Level 2 certifications in UT, UTG, MPI, or PT considered a major advantage.

• Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.

• Soft Skills: Strong organizational skills, the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and excellent communication abilities for client-facing coordination.

• Flexibility: Willingness to work extended hours and travel internationally or domestically for work assignments when needed.
