Job summary

Silicon Box in Singapore seeks a QA Engineer (Reliability) to support reliability activities in the QRA lab for semiconductor and electronics projects. You will coordinate tests, ensure tool readiness, and maintain lab quality and safety.

The role requires a degree in engineering and at least 3 years of reliability testing experience, with knowledge of JEDEC standards and failure analysis. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Material/Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of Reliability Test experience in semiconductor industry.
• Knowledge of JEDEC Reliability Test Requirements and Procedures (MSL, HTS, TC, HAST/uHAST, PCT).
• Familiarity with package- and board-level reliability failures and FA techniques.

Job description

QA Engineer (Reliability) is responsible for supporting and managing activities of Reliability in the QRA lab. Candidates with experience in Semiconductor and electronics area are encouraged to apply for this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule and Support Reliability tests requested by internal/external stakeholders.
• Provide machine readiness, capacity planning and perform buyoff for new Reliability tools for capacity ramp-up.
• Responsible for keeping the Reliability tools calibrated and properly maintained to ensure minimal downtime to support Reliability activities
• Establish recipes for reliability tools, procedures for various reliability tests and work with vendors for proper jig/carrier designs if required.
• Conduct staff training on Reliability tools and test procedures.
• Maintain Reliability tools and lab environment to meet the 5S and safety requirement.
• Support internal and external audit and follow up all the action items captured by auditors.
• Work with Procurement team to obtain Reliability service quotations for service outsourcing if required.
• Work with IT team to setup system for submissions of new Reliability Test request and report uploading.
• Other ad-hoc activities assigned by the reporting manager.

Requirements

• Degree in Material/Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of Reliability Test experience in the semiconductor industry
• Have a good understanding and Knowledge of JEDEC Reliability Test Requirement and Procedures, including MSL, HTS, TC, HAST/uHAST and PCT in both package and board-level reliability.
• Have a good understanding and knowledge of typical package-level reliability failures and FA techniques to support post-Reliability analysis, including cross-section, ion-mill, CSAM, SEM, EDX, and Chemical Decapsulation.
• Knowledge of semiconductor device physics and understanding of semiconductor device quality issues is preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Able to prepare and present reliability qualification reports to internal and external customers.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and team approach to problem-solving.
