Job summary

MARQUESS SERVICES PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a motivated Python Developer to join a banking technology project focused on AML/KYC applications and process automation.

You will build, enhance and support Python-based applications to improve operational efficiency and regulatory compliance. You will work with experienced developers to implement REST APIs, integrate with internal banking systems, and contribute to unit testing, deployments and documentation.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Software Engineering or related discipline.
• 1–5 years of software development experience.
• Basic to intermediate Python programming.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyse business and technical requirements for application development and process automation.
• Develop, enhance and maintain Python-based applications using Django and REST API frameworks.
• Support frontend development using React, JavaScript, CSS and SCSS.
• Assist in developing API integrations and connecting applications with internal banking systems.
• Perform SQL queries, database development and basic query optimisation using MS SQL or Oracle.
• Participate in unit testing, integration testing, debugging and application troubleshooting.
• Support system deployment, release activities and production maintenance.
• Follow established software development, change management and engineering review processes.
• Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, senior developers and other technical stakeholders.
• Prepare technical documentation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
