Job summary

Bounteous is seeking an experienced Python Developer (AI & Data Engineering) to join a strategic technology team in Singapore. Lead hands-on Python development for AI-powered applications and data platforms, leveraging Generative AI and cloud-native tech in an Agile environment.

The role emphasizes building scalable backend services, data pipelines, and automation, with strong focus on TDD, CI/CD, and collaboration across architects, engineers, product owners, and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Python programming.
• Hands-on experience with open-source AI/ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, LangChain).
• Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Git, Jenkins, TeamCity).
• Experience with databases (RDBMS, NoSQL, Graph databases).
• Familiarity with Generative AI technologies and data engineering pipelines.
• Scripting skills (Shell, Regex).
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevOps best practices.
• Linux administration skills are a plus.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Python Developer (AI & Data Engineering) to join a strategic technology team supporting the development of next-generation AI-powered applications and data platforms.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Python development, AI/ML frameworks, data engineering, and modern software engineering practices. This role offers the opportunity to work on innovative solutions leveraging Generative AI, machine learning, and cloud-native technologies within a collaborative Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using Python.
• Build and enhance AI-driven applications using modern open-source frameworks and libraries.
• Develop scalable backend services, APIs, and automation solutions.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle using Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support automated testing and deployments.
• Work with structured and unstructured data from various database platforms.
• Develop and support data engineering pipelines and ETL processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects, engineers, product owners, and business stakeholders.
• Contribute to Generative AI initiatives including RAG-based solutions, agentic AI workflows, and enterprise AI integrations.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, retrospectives, and Agile ceremonies.
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance existing applications and workflows.
• Maintain technical documentation and implementation standards.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong proficiency in Python programming.
• Hands-on experience with open-source frameworks such as PyTorch, LangChain, or similar AI/ML frameworks.
• Experience working with Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Git, Jenkins, TeamCity, or similar platforms.
• Experience working with databases including RDBMS, NoSQL, or Graph Databases.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Ability to work effectively in Agile development environments.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Good understanding of core AI/ML concepts and techniques.
