BOUNTEOUSXACCOLITE SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Java Microservices Developer to design, develop, and support scalable enterprise applications within a fast-paced banking environment.

You will build cloud-native microservices using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Kafka, collaborating with analysts, architects, and DevOps to deliver high-quality solutions. Prioritize performance, security, and reliability while supporting modernization efforts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of Java application development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java 8/11/17, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, JPA/Hibernate, Kafka, SQL (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Experience with event-driven architecture and distributed systems.
• Solid understanding of OO design patterns and Agile/Scrum delivery.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable Java-based applications and microservices.
• Develop and enhance RESTful APIs for system integrations.
• Implement event-driven solutions using Kafka and messaging technologies.
• Support CI/CD and deployment automation; participate in code reviews and Agile ceremonies.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Java Microservices Developer with strong expertise in designing, developing, and supporting scalable enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have experience building cloud-native microservices using Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, REST APIs, and modern DevOps practices within a fast-paced banking environment.

This role offers the opportunity to work on mission-critical digital banking platforms and high-volume transaction processing systems for a leading financial institution.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable Java-based applications and microservices.
• Build and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java 8/11/17, Spring Boot, and Microservices Architecture.
• Develop and enhance RESTful APIs for internal and external system integrations.
• Implement event-driven solutions using Kafka and messaging technologies.
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, DevOps engineers, and QA teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Participate in application modernization and cloud migration initiatives.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring system stability and performance.
• Write clean, maintainable, and secure code following engineering best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and Agile ceremonies.
• Support CI/CD implementation and deployment automation.
• Perform performance tuning and optimization of applications and databases.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Java application development.
• Strong hands-on experience with: Java 8/11/17Spring Boot, Microservices Architecture, REST APIs, JPA/Hibernate, Kafka, SQL (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
• Experience with event-driven architecture and distributed systems.
• Good understanding of software design patterns and object-oriented design principles.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Banking or Financial Services industry experience.
• Experience with: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, AWS / Azure Cloud
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
• Experience with Spring Security, OAuth2, and JWT authentication.
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as ELK, Splunk, Grafana, or Prometheus.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
