Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking an experienced software engineer to join the Software Engineering Group in Singapore. You will apply deep knowledge across the software development lifecycle and partner with many stakeholders daily to align on goals and deliver value.

Qualifications

5+ years of strong experience in application development (not support focused).
Hands-on experience with Java, Unix/Linux, Python scripting, and APIs (WebSocket, SFTP).
Good programming knowledge of Python for application development and automation.
Good understanding of Java and object-oriented programming concepts.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and support applications using Java while following coding standards and best practices.
Create and maintain automation scripts using Python and Unix shell scripting to streamline tasks.
Work with APIs and WebSockets to integrate applications with external systems and enable real-time communication.
Perform file transfers and data exchange using SFTP as part of workflows.
Write and optimize SQL queries for data retrieval and database operations.
Collaborate with senior developers, QA teams, and stakeholders to implement enhancements and fixes.
Monitor application performance and provide timely support for incidents and service requests.
