Job summary

RECRUIT EXPRESS PTE LTD is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain AI applications using Python. You will handle AI/ML features, build RESTful APIs, and work with Power Platform tools within an Agile team in Singapore.

The role requires a foundation in Python, SQL, Git, and cloud familiarity with Azure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable AI solutions and maintain good code quality and security practices.

Qualifications

• A degree/diploma in Information Technology, Computing, Computer Science or relevant.
• Strong foundation in Python, with the ability to write clean, efficient, and reliable code.
• Interest and willingness to work on AI/ML-related tools, frameworks, and platforms.
• Basic understanding of RESTful APIs and application integration concepts.
• Familiarity with SQL and working with relational databases.
• Openness to working with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) when required.
• Exposure to Microsoft Azure and cloud-based services would be an added advantage.
• Familiarity with Git for source control.
• Experience or interest in Agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain AI applications (Python-based) and scripts supporting AI-related initiatives.
• Assist in building, testing, and integrating AI/ML-powered features and proofs-of-concepts.
• Translate user stories and business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
• Build efficient, reusable, and reliable code using best practices.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs to support AI and automation use cases.
• Work with structured and unstructured data to support AI model integration and evaluation.
• Support automation solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) as needed.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and performance issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and scalable AI-enabled solutions.
• Ensure adherence to code quality, security, and versioning standards.
• Participate in Agile development processes including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of code, experiments, and system architecture.
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisor
