Job summary

PUMPS SERVICE CENTRE PTE. LTD. is seeking a skilled technician to inspect, maintain, and repair pump systems, water tanks, panels, and plumbing networks.

You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults, perform repairs, and assist with installation and commissioning of new systems. The role requires 2–3 years hands-on experience in maintenance of pump equipment, ability to read schematics and P&ID drawings, and proficiency with diagnostic tools.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, or related trade.
• 2–3 years hands-on experience in maintenance, plumbing, and repair of mechanical and electrical systems (pump systems, control panels, water tanks).
• Experience in pipe fitting (PVC, PPR, copper, galvanised iron, steel).
• Familiarity with industrial equipment, motor starters, relays, and electrical panels.
• Able to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces.
• Willingness to work in outdoor and industrial environments.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems including pumps, motors, control panels (star‑delta, DOL, VFDs), water tanks, valves and piping networks.
• Proficient in pipe cutting, threading, jointing, soldering/welding, valve installation and pressure testing.
• Skilled in using multimeter tools, pressure gauges, and electrical diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and perform preventive maintenance on pumps, water tanks, control panels, plumbing networks, and related equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults across systems and panels.
• Repair components, replace fittings, and fix piping to ensure leak-free operation.
• Assist in installation, pipe fitting, wiring, and commissioning of new systems.
• Ensure proper alignment and setup of mechanical and electrical components during installation.
• Monitor operation parameters for safe, efficient continuous operation.
• Prepare reports on system status, maintenance schedules, and issues.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, breakdowns, and electrical faults to minimize downtime.
