Job summary

Government Technology Agency (GovTech) seeks a client representative electrical design engineer to support JTC and various public sector projects, coordinating with EMA and SP Group to plan transmission and distribution infrastructure for industrial estates.

You will formulate project briefs, manage consultants, review designs, perform value engineering, and ensure compliance with regulations, while collaborating with government agencies and driving innovative solutions across stakeholder groups.

Qualifications

• Background in Electrical or Power Engineering with 2–3 years of consultancy/design/engineering experience.
• PEB registration would be an advantage.
• Certifications such as Design for Safety Professional, Green Mark, and Building Construction certifications advantageous.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder coordination.
• Self-driven and dynamic approach to project management.

Responsibilities

• Formulate project briefs for consultancy tenders and manage consultants.
• Review electrical designs, calculations, drawings, and M&E cost estimates from design to project completion.
• Conduct value engineering and cost-benefit analyses using engineering calculation software.
• Ensure compliance with local construction industry regulations and codes.
• Collaborate with government agencies and engineers to plan network upgrades and substation construction.
• Represent JTC in agency committees and communicate engineering concepts to stakeholders.
