Mondrian Singapore Duxton is seeking a dedicated Public Area Attendant to help keep its public spaces pristine in line with brand standards. You will assist in maintaining the lobby, restrooms and shared areas, ensuring a welcoming guest environment.

Under the guidance of the Director of Housekeeping, responsibilities include cleaning, stocking supplies, and promptly addressing guest inquiries while reporting maintenance needs. This is a frontline role at a stylish Duxton Hill property.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Ensure all public restrooms are clean, fresh smelling, and stocked at all times.
• Check restrooms at least every 30 minutes during shift.
• Collect and stock restroom towels from laundry, fold neatly and replenish.
• Return dirty towels and soiled linens to laundry for cleaning.
• Dust, clean and wipe walls, doors and tabletops in the lobby area.
• Empty and clean trash bins in public areas.
• Assist fellow employees and handle related duties as needed.
• Attend meetings or training sessions as required and undertake special projects.

What do we expect from you?

Under the general guidance of the Director of Housekeeping, assist in assuring smooth and efficient running of the Public Area in accordance to the hotel standards.

How your day looks like?

• Ensure all public restrooms, toilets are clean, fresh smelling and stocked at all times
• Maintain all restroom cleanliness by checking each restroom a minimum of once every half hour during your work shift
• Collect and stock restroom towels from laundry, fold neatly and put in restroom
• Return dirty towels and soiled linens to laundry for cleaning
• Dust, clean and wipe walls, doors and table tops as and when necessary in the lobby area throughout the shift
• Empty and clean trash bins in public areas
• Familiarize self with all functions happening in the hotel
• Ensure all the telephones in the public areas are clean and operable
• Maintain furniture and equipment in a serviceable condition and report any defects immediately
• Reports maintenance defects to Housekeeping office immediately
• Deal with guest inquiries and requirements efficiently, handle complaints promptly and with thorough follow up
• Follow key signing procedures and take responsibility for assigned keys
• Hand in all lost property and follow correct lost and found procedure
• Ensure all equipment and material used are in a clean and working order, any defects should be reported immediately
• Assist fellow employees to perform similar or related jobs as and when necessary
• Carry out any projects and assignments as directed by the Director of Housekeeping
• Attend any meetings or training sessions as requiredUndertake any reasonable request and/or special projects as requested by management
