Job summary

The Institute of Policy Studies at the National University of Singapore is seeking an Executive for its Public Affairs team. The role centers on coordinating Singapore Chronicles titles with the General Editor, liaising with authors, editors and publishers, and driving marketing and publicity activities.

You will engage in content creation, social media, and stakeholder reporting, with a strong emphasis on reading, writing and interacting with diverse audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication or Marketing.
• Minimum one year of experience in corporate communication, marketing, media, or public relations.
• Demonstrated interest in Singapore, including its history and current affairs.
• Excellent written and spoken English with professional communication skills.
• Motivated, resourceful and capable of working independently while managing tasks effectively.
• Strong organisational and interpersonal skills with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the General Editor to coordinate Singapore Chronicles titles from conception to publication.
• Liaise with authors, track progress and alert of delays.
• Coordinate with copyeditors and publishers on timelines and production.
• Plan and execute marketing and promotional activities for the book series and achieve sales targets.
• Assist in reporting to stakeholders and develop content strategy for social media and websites.
• Produce IPS collaterals and manage vendors; uphold editorial governance.
