Job summary

PUB, The National Water Agency, Singapore, seeks a Senior Engineer/Assistant Director (Planning) in the Water Systems Department to lead the development of engineering models for integrated water resource planning and R&D projects. You will guide design and construction planning to enhance water resource management.

You will collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver milestones, prepare reports, and support ongoing improvements in project execution and compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related field.
• Strong analytical thinking, planning and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, GIS applications and data visualization tools.

Responsibilities

• Deliver milestones, prepare reports and present recommendations to management.
• Undertake long-term planning efforts and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure project execution.
• Engage external government agencies and stakeholders to facilitate project implementation.
• Support documentation, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Any other duties as assigned.

As a Senior Engineer/Assistant Director (Planning) in the Water Systems Department, Planning & Capability Development Division, you will be part of a team to lead the development of engineering models to plan and guide the design and construction of systems to enhance integrated water resource management and undertake related R&D projects.

What you will be working on:

• Ensure timely delivery of key milestones, prepare reports and present recommendations to management.
• Undertake long-term planning efforts and collaborate with internal stakeholders, consultants, and contractors to ensure successful execution of project
• Engage external government agencies and stakeholders to facilitate project implementation
• Support documentation, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Any other duties as assigned.

What we are looking for:

• Degree in Civil/ Environmental Engineering /Geology/Geophysics or related fields
• Possess strong analytical thinking, planning and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, GIS applications and/ or data visualisation tools
• Good writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Able to work independently and a good team player
• Self-motivated, adaptable and possess strong sense of responsibility
