Job summary

sgGovTerp in Singapore is seeking a Senior Engineer/Assistant Director (Planning) to lead the development of engineering models for planning and guiding design and construction of water systems. You will drive R&D projects and integrate water resource management strategies.

You will deliver milestones, prepare reports and present recommendations, and collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to ensure project success and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil/ Environmental Engineering /Geology/Geophysics or related fields
• Strong analytical thinking, planning and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, GIS applications and/ or data visualisation tools
• Good writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Able to work independently and a good team player
• Self-motivated, adaptable and possess strong sense of responsibility

Responsibilities

As a Senior Engineer/Assistant Director (Planning) in the Water Systems Department, Planning & Capability Development Division, you will be part of a team to lead the development of engineering models to plan and guide the design and construction of systems to enhance integrated water resource management and undertake related R&D projects.

What you will be working on

• Ensure timely delivery of key milestones, prepare reports and present recommendations to management.
• Undertake long-term planning efforts and collaborate with internal stakeholders, consultants, and contractors to ensure successful execution of project
• Engage external government agencies and stakeholders to facilitate project implementation
