Public Service Division is seeking an Assistant Engineer for Instrumentation, Control and Automation (ICA) at Jurong Water Reclamation Plant. You will perform maintenance, calibration and fault diagnosis on ICA equipment and support PLC, DCS and SCADA systems.

The role involves planning maintenance activities, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring safety and compliance while contributing to digitalisation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
• Candidates who have work experience with ICA systems are preferred.

Responsabilités

• Perform routine, preventive and predictive maintenance on ICA equipment (transmitters, sensors, analysers, flow meters, pressure gauges, and temperature controllers).
• Conduct calibration and verification of instruments in accordance with procedures and schedules.
• Troubleshoot and rectify instrumentation faults, and assist in emergency preparedness and maintenance works to minimise downtime.
• Support the operation and maintenance of PLCs, DCS, and SCADA systems, and assist in configuration, programming and testing of control systems.
• Assist in the implementation of system upgrades, modifications and cybersecurity compliance for ICA systems.
• Assist in planning inspection/maintenance programs, preparation of specifications, scope of works and cost estimates for ICA projects.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and OEMs for equipment procurement, installation and commissioning.
• Track Works Orders/Purchase Orders and assist in the preparation and review of maintenance budget.
• Ensure all works comply with safety regulations and statutory requirements, including preparation of Permit to Work, RA and SWP.
• Support innovation, digitalisation and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance Plant safety, operation and maintenance.

As Assistant Engineer for Instrumentation, Control and Automation (ICA) with Jurong Water Reclamation Plant, your responsibilities would include the following:

• Perform routine, preventive and predictive maintenance on ICA equipment including transmitters, sensors, analysers, flow meters, pressure gauges, and temperature controllers.

• Troubleshoot and rectify instrumentation faults, and assist in emergency preparedness and maintenance works to minimise operational downtime.

• Support the operation and maintenance of PLCs, DCS, and SCADA systems, and assist in configuration, programming and testing of control systems.

• Assist in the implementation of system upgrades, modifications and cybersecurity compliance for ICA systems.

• Ensure all works comply with safety regulations and statutory requirements, including preparation of Notification Permit to Work, Risk Assessment (RA) and Safe Work Procedures (SWP).

• Support innovation, digitalisation and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance Plant safety, operation and maintenance.

[What we are looking for]

• Diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent qualification in relevant field.

• Candidates who have work experience with ICA systems are preferred.
