Arup is seeking a Protective Design Engineer in Singapore to lead blast and protective design projects across SE Asia. You will work within the Resilience, Security & Risk (RSR) team to deliver risk-based protective strategies from concept to construction, collaborating with multidisciplinary global teams.

Role involves blast analysis for various structures, façade assessments, HVM design and preparation of technical reports and calculations. Relevant standards and local codes apply.

Formación

• Strong experience in blast engineering, protective design and security risk management.
• Knowledge of UFC 3-340-01, UFC 3-340-02, UFC 4-023-03, ASCE 59 and local codes.
• Understanding of risk-based design methodologies, hazard assessment and consequence analysis.
• Experience preparing technical specifications, engineering reports and protective design documentation.
• Knowledge of regulatory and health and safety requirements for project delivery.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and deliver blast and protective design services across all project stages.
• Undertake blast analysis and design assessments for reinforced concrete, steel and composite structures.
• Perform façade blast assessments for glazed and non-glazed systems.
• Design hostile vehicle mitigation and other protective security measures.
• Carry out design checks and engineering analyses per recognised standards.
• Prepare and review technical reports, specifications, calculations and FE outputs.
