Job summary

NACOS Marine is seeking a Project Engineer (m/f/d) Propulsion Control to join our engineering team in Singapore. You will design, engineer, test and commission marine automation systems focused on propulsion control and Dynamic Positioning, contributing from concept through FAT and onboard service.

You'll work within an established project team, including travel to vessels and customer sites for commissioning and service assignments.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Automation, Mechatronics, Maritime Engineering or related field.
Minimum 3 years' experience in automation engineering; marine/offshore experience is advantageous.
Familiarity with IEC 61131-3 programming languages and industrial protocols.
Ability to read electrical schematics and system documentation.
Willingness to travel internationally, including on vessels and at customer sites.

Responsibilities

Design and engineer marine automation systems, including system descriptions, test protocols and documentation.
Develop and maintain project-specific PLC software and HMI applications.
Test systems, subsystems and functionalities throughout the engineering process.
Support FATs and on-site commissioning, including international assignments.
Carry out service activities, troubleshooting, testing and calibration as needed.
Prepare service reports and technical documentation for completed work.
