Job Summary

We seek a motivated Proposal Engineer to prepare technical and commercial proposals, coordinate with stakeholders, and support sales in delivering competitive analyzer system solutions. Training and mentorship are provided for career growth in engineering sales.

Responsibilities

• Review customer enquiries, specifications, datasheets, and tender documents to ensure accurate proposal development
• Prepare detailed technical and commercial proposals for analyzer systems and related equipment to meet project requirements
• Interpret P&IDs, process flow diagrams (PFDs), and engineering specifications to select appropriate instruments and accessories
• Select suitable instruments, analyzers, sampling systems, and accessories based on project needs and technical criteria
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to obtain quotations and technical information for cost-effective solutions
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, procurement, and project teams to align proposal content and timelines
• Clarify technical requirements with customers and support pre-bid discussions to address queries and ensure alignment
• Perform cost estimation and prepare bill of materials (BOM) to support accurate budgeting and resource planning
• Ensure proposals comply with customer specifications, project schedules, and company standards for quality and consistency
• Maintain organized proposal documentation and quotation records for audit and reference purposes
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by enhancing proposal templates, costing tools, and engineering databases

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline
• Basic understanding of industrial instrumentation and process engineering to support technical proposal accuracy
• Ability to read engineering drawings, P&IDs, and technical specifications to inform equipment selection
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) to prepare professional documents
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with customers, vendors, and internal teams
• Good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills to manage proposal tasks efficiently
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
• Willingness to learn and grow in the analyzer systems and process automation industry
• Proficiency in both English and Chinese (spoken and written) to support communication with Chinese-speaking customers and partners
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
• Candidates with 2–3 years of experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Chemical, Instrumentation, or Process Analyzer industries will have an advantage
